Around Pittsboro: Fall Fun at the Street Fair

by Main Street Pittsboro

The crunching leaves underfoot is local code for: “It’s time for the annual Pittsboro Street Fair!” This year it’s happening Saturday, October 27th from 10am-4pm.

The streets west of Hillsboro Street and north of Business 64 will be filled with local creative talent in the form of culinary, visual, and performing artists. Visit the Main Street Pittsboro booth on the southside of Hanks Street (map is below) to see plans for changes slated for downtown. We’ll have information to share about upcoming public art installations and holiday events that support small businesses and unite community. We want to hear from you! Please take a survey to tell us your visions for downtown and take away free photo prints from the Zim-Zoom photo booth.

Extra special reveal: We’ve picked the Street Fair to launch Pittsboro Boomerang Bags. Boomerang Bags are reuseable bags, made by local volunteers from donated fabric from French Connections, Reclamations Home Furnishings, and Screaming for Vintage). They’re tagged with a Boomerang Bag label branded especially for Pittsboro. Downtown Pittsboro is excited to be the first Boomerang Bag community in the Triangle, and Main Street is delighted to have brought them here. Find Boomerang Bags at Deep River Mercantile, The Joyful Jewel, Liquidamber Gallery and Gifts, New Karma For Old Threads, Oakmoss Attic, Pittsboro Toys, Reclamations Home Furnishings, Screaming For Vintage and swear off plastic bags forever! Using Boomerang Bags constantly will help reduce plastic waste and landfill garbage AND build a more sustainable Pittsboro…a winning trifecta! (Stay tuned for sales happening downtown that will require the use of your Pittsboro Boomerang Bag to receive special discounts.)
